[IMPORTANT] Notice of Cessation of Service

As of the time of writing, it is August 17th, 2022. I've never been good at being serious, so let's jump right into this.

It's been a full year since I wrote anything for this site. I don't have an explanation for that. I got burned out, took a break and never came back...and now, it's time I made things official.

As of today, Point of Interest will no longer be updated or maintained. This means there will be no new posts, dead links will cease to be managed and comments will be permanently disabled. And an eight year experiment in gaming and fandom writing will come to an end.

See, when I started this, I was still in school. I had o p i n i o n s about many things and people told me I should create a place to put them and so I did. What resulted was an unexpectedly long journey that taught me many things, including how to articulate such vocal opinions; but as I grew older, it turned from a side hobby into a constant chore to upkeep. The burnout that ended it started years ago.

Still, I hope that in some small way, Point of Interest exposed you to something new, be it a new game or anime or book-because that's what it was meant to do. I don't want this to be my legacy, but I hope it leaves a mark on this world in some positive way.
